Adam Hannig has been around making game art since 1999. He has played video games since he was 7 years old on one of the first PCs ever made. Adam has a passion for games, movies, and moving pictures on the computer. He has been going to the movies every weekend since he was a toddler with his family watching 3 movies at a time. During the movies, he would scream out “WOW!”, since he is hard of hearing and so young, he did not know the meaning of silence during a movie. Since then, he’s become so fascinated with moving pictures on the screen. Movie after movie, he would excel at predicting what would happen during the movie or how it was made.

As the years went by, he got involved with high school and college basketball. “I’m a very competitive basketball player,” he says, “and this creates an edge for me in games and in life because I am so focused and sharp.”

When he played final fantasy VII for the first time, he realized the potential of a new type of graphics that had entered the market. That was when he wanted to go into game development. Back then, they had no schools for videogame art so he delved into the books for knowledge and wisdom with no formal instruction.

Adam worked for a video production company for about 7 years doing various work such as videography, video editing, 2D and 3D animation. Then he made his way into the game industry as a video game tester. Adam has a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from Cal State University, Northridge and is looking to get a second degree in Computer Science. He’s also enrolled in a video game art certificate program to polish his skills. His dream is to enter the video game industry to create games and now because of Team Kaizen, that can be a reality.
