Advent Children Jackers!
Square-Enix just won a court case against a Korean pop idol for her music video, which nearly-perfectly recreates a scene from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. I agree with Square on the fact that this pop idol should have asked for permission, and no one in their right mind would begrudge the protection of one’s own intellectual property (fanfic and fan art notwithstanding, but this isn’t fan art–this video is meant to make money)…..but you can’t help but be amazed at to the level of detail in this recreation LOL! It doesn’t help that I am so over hyped on FF7 that even the slightest reference is an adrenaline rush for me hehe! Here is the video:

W00t!
LMAO…ROFL…JUST CLICK HERE! Man, your geek speekers out there must be holding a celebration to remember, and Dusty (our Assistant Lead Game Design) must be ready to hit someone or something because I remember him saying something a LONG time back that it irritated him when people tried to use geek speak in actual conversation. I would have rather had the word, ‘PWN’, take the word of the year but oh well, when a dictionary declares W00t to be a word we must all be winners…or losers I can’t really tell!

Sega’s New Tech
Check this shtuff out. I would have been more interested if there was more direct info on how to license this nice piece of tech, but either way Sega stands to make some serious coin off of it. I remember reading about the trials and tribulations Square-USA went through translating the script to Final Fantasy X (the first to have voice actors)–one of their staffers said it was something like translating 6 films into haiku form and expecting the actors to pull it off in such a way that it didn’t feel forced (which, btw, they did a phenomenal job!). So, I can just imagine that if this software works half as good as it claims, people like SquareEnix (whom have a heavy stake in taking Japanese games and translating them for the world or vice-versa) will be doing cartwheels and backflips out of pure joy. I would love to see this software try to make mouth movements to El Chaccaron (which is set to the next video I show below for Drake’s Fortune).

Uncharted Dance Mix
Nope, I am not referencing the cool dance song a DJ made for Sony for the official soundtrack to Uncharted Drake’s Fortune (good song though), I am talking about a video below where someone tool El Chaccaron (one of the most popular songs on YouTube) and made Nathan Drake bust a move to it. I about died laughing. Anyways, who am I to keep you from it? Enjoy!
